significant step in forming a joint venture with a pioneering Chinese automotive
company-Brilliance Auto of China - to produce Brilliance "Galena" in Egypt. In 2007,
it partnered with another international automotive company – the Indian Mahindra
– and it started assembling Mahindra's SUV car – Scorpio – at its plant in 6th of October
City. To-date Bavarian Auto Group's total investment in Egypt is $80 million.
The company has created 1300 direct and 4000 indirect job opportunities for Egyptians.
Bavarian Auto Group's starting point was in May 2004, with the opening of a state of-
the-art plant consisting of an area of 39,000m2, comprising total investments of
$42 million. Through this industrial paradigm, Bavarian Auto is able to provide the
Egyptian consumer with a wide choice of cars, including the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series,
BMW X3 and the luxurious BMW 7 Series, in addition to the BMW 7 Series Individual.
In 2006, the Brilliance Galena was added and followed by Mahindra brand in 2007.
Shortly after the establishment of the plant, Bavarian inaugurated its corporate
headquarters and service centre, which encompasses a variety of equipment operating
with cutting edge technology, in addition to two showrooms. Besides its
headquarters, Bavarian Auto has two showrooms, in Heliopolis and Mohandessin.
Moreover, in 2007 the company opened its state-of-the-art service centre in Abou
Rawash, which offers the latest maintenance services and spare parts for the company's
valued customers. In addition to this, the company recently celebrated the
opening of its first showroom in Sharm El Sheikh; Carlton Auto, which brings the
favorite brands closer to its customers wherever they are.
